Matrox Iris GT overview

See also

Matrox Iris GT combines the integration of a smart camera with the programmability of a computer-based machine vision system. It features an Intel-Atom processor, and uses either Microsoft Windows Embedded Compact (for example, the GT300/M) or Microsoft Windows XP Embedded (for example, the GT300/X).

Matrox Iris GT uses a progressive scan CCD image sensor with square pixels. The sensor supports an asynchronous externally triggered electronic shutter.

Matrox Iris GT features a 2-Gbyte flash disk for in-camera (on-board) storage of both the operating system and additional data. The 1 Gbyte of DDR2 memory provides in-camera (on-board) volatile storage. Matrox Iris GT can connect to devices through the Ethernet port (100/1000 BaseT), VGA/USB port, and auxiliary I/O signals.

The primary difference between the members of the Matrox Iris GT family are: the sensor chip size, the effective resolution, color, and frame rate.

The Matrox Iris GT GT300C, GT1200C, and GT1900C smart cameras use a 32-bit, single-band sensor with a Bayer color filter, and store the images as BGR32 packed images by default.
