Synopsis
The functions prefixed with Mstr make up the String Reader module. The String Reader module performs character recognition using feature-based technology. The module is invariant to changes in scale, aspect ratio, and contrast. String Reader also offers considerable tolerance towards variations in perspective and angle. In addition, String Reader supports multiple user-defined grammar rules and multi-font definitions in a single context, and features a powerful Graphical User Interface (GUI) for easy font definition. String Reader also offers an expert function, allowing you to quickly determine why your application is not reading the strings that you expect it to read. These features make the String Reader module the ideal tool for writing seemingly complex applications, such as Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) programs.
